Back in the early 90's I read the script while serving on the playreading committee for Kernersville Little Theatre. I remember thinking it was a very cute story. KLT didn't want to produce it because one of the "characters", Pyewacket, is a cat.
So you know what she's doing, when she's doing it and who she's doing it with.

We're going to catch this one on Saturday night. Kathy played the lead (witch) role way back when at the dinner theater in Pittsburgh, though it was someone else's cat who portrayed Pyewacket (who really isn't on stage all that long). This was dinner theater in the round and one night, no power -- so they did the show with candles on the little "wall" that surrounded the rectangle of the stage. With fire extinguishers standing by, of course. Kind of fit the show, actually!
I think it needs to resurface on the play reading committe soon.
